The Pathfinders program in Colorado is a career program for individuals to be hired by Intermountain for entry-level jobs in healthcare. This title can only be used for caregivers who participate in this program. The Pathfinders CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) learns how to accurately and compassionately act as a clinical support partner to assist the patient care team by performing various tasks and procedures as instructed by a licensed professional. Caregivers in this role will become skilled at basic patient care skills including toileting, bathing, linen and clothing changes, ambulating, comfort measures, and other patient care skills. A student in good standing, upon completion of an approved CNA program has the opportunity to advance to a Patient Care Tech (PCT) or a Home Care Aide position at Intermountain. Pathfinders participants will be required to obtain CNA certification within 90 days of being hired into the CNA Pathfinders role. The Pathfinders CNA can work a variety of shifts that may include weekends, holidays and nights and in various facilities, as needed.
