Experienced CNA for Total Care in Dallas
About The Position
BrightStar Care is seeking an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join their team and provide exceptional one-on-one care for a VIP client. This role requires dependability, compassion, and experience with high-acuity care. The position involves providing total care in the client's home, including assistance with daily living activities, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and transportation. The CNA will work collaboratively with another CNA and report changes in the client's condition to the Director of Nursing. A meet-and-greet with the family is required, and the company is committed to finding a caregiver who is an excellent fit for this VIP client. This is an opportunity for experienced CNAs to build meaningful relationships while providing high-quality care.
Requirements
- Current Texas CNA Certification (Required)
- 2–3 years of CNA experience
- Experience providing total care and using a Hoyer lift
- Current CPR Certification
- Negative TB test (skin test or chest X-ray)
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform the physical demands of caregiving
- Professional, dependable, and committed to providing exceptional care
- Resume required with relevant experience
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, one-on-one care in the client's home
- Assist with all activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Perform total care, including safe transfers using a Hoyer lift
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding
- Light housekeeping and linen changes
- Transportation to appointments and errands
- Encourage mobility and follow the client's individualized care plan
- Monitor and report changes in the client's condition to the Director of Nursing
