About The Position

This is a part-time Certified Nursing Assistant position with the Dept of Veterans Services at the Puller Veterans Center. The role involves providing direct care to residents, including physical observation, behavior modification, and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). Responsibilities also include managing new admissions and discharges, checking vital signs, and completing cleaning assignments.

Requirements

• Must have a current Certified Nursing Assistant License in the state of Virginia.
• Must have or be willing to obtain American Heart Association BLS Provider CPR card upon hire.
• Applicants must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work.
• Selected candidate must pass a criminal background check (excluding current DVS employees).

Responsibilities

• Provide physical observation and behavior modification.
• Provide ADL care for the residents.
• Assist with new admissions and discharges.
• Completing vital sign checks.
• Completing cleaning assignments.
• May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
