About The Position

Anoka Rehabilitation & Living Center is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant. The Nursing Assistant is part of the clinical team and provides residents with direct care and assistance with activities of daily living they cannot perform for themselves. The facility emphasizes dignity, compassion, empathy, personal attention, and residents’ emotional and spiritual wellbeing.

The role offers shifts from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM, 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM, or 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM, with every other weekend required. The listed pay is $22.12–$23.18 per hour, with benefit options and compensation based on years of experience. Anoka Rehabilitation & Living Center is part of Volunteers of America National Services, the housing and healthcare affiliate of Volunteers of America.

Requirements

• Be a Certified, Registered, or State Tested Nursing Assistant.
• Be at least 18 years old at the start date of employment.
• Be able to safely perform the essential functions of the job without harm to oneself or others.
• Be able to understand and follow work assignments.
• Be able to work as part of a team.
• Be able to use computers and other electronic devices for tasks such as timekeeping, in-servicing, and documentation.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a long-term care setting.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Promptly report changes in a resident’s condition to the nurse.
• Immediately report suspected abuse or neglect according to facility policy.
• Accurately use electronic documentation systems as required by facility policy.
• Attend or complete educational offerings and obtain at least twelve hours of continuing education each year, in accordance with state regulations.
