Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)- Inpatient Oncology - 0.6 FTE NOC

This part-time position commits to 24 hours per week, working 7pm-7:30am every other weekend and rotating holidays. The Certified Nursing Assistant provides basic patient care under the direction of a registered nurse, adhering to ANA standards. The role involves communicating patient condition changes to the RN, performing bedside handoffs using SBAR, and assisting with patient daily living activities such as dressing, ambulating, toileting, eating, grooming, oral care, and bathing.
Requirements
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support Certification (BLS CPR) required
- Active/expired Certified Nursing Assistant on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Prior experience as a C.N.A. is preferred
Responsibilities
- Communicate changes in patient situations/conditions that would require notification to the RN.
- Performs efficient and effective patient bedside handoffs at shift change using SBAR communication methodologies to communicate patient care activities.
- Assists with patient activities as delegated by the RN including activities of daily living (i.e. dressing, ambulating, toileting, eating, grooming, oral care and bathing.)
