About The Position

Avante at Mt. Dora is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to perform direct care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel and help maintain a positive physical, social, and psychological environment for residents. This is a part-time 7 a.m.–3 p.m. position in a skilled nursing facility in Mount Dora, Florida. Weekend work is included, and a shift differential is available. The role requires a CNA in good standing who meets applicable federal and state certification requirements, or is in training to satisfactorily complete those requirements. Candidates must be at least 18, meet the stated education or literacy requirements, have previous experience or complete an appropriate training course, and be eligible for required background clearance.

Requirements

Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing and meet applicable federal and state certification requirements, or be in training to satisfactorily complete them.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have completed high school or a GED equivalent, or otherwise demonstrate the ability to read and write and follow oral commands in English.
Previous experience or completion of an appropriate training course.
Positive attitude toward elderly people.
Must be eligible for clearance through the abuse registry and Department of Law Enforcement.
Must undergo background screening through the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
