About The Position

This position is a training program to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at an acute care five-star facility. The program offers the opportunity to learn about different areas of care and how to best care for residents. Upon successful completion, there are opportunities for free QMA classes. Ashton Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center values its team members, who are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of residents by enabling them to reach and maintain their highest functional abilities.

Requirements

  • Must be 16 years old or older.
  • Successfully pass the English, Reading, and Math Competency Test.
  • Must pass Criminal Background and Drug Screen.
  • A passion for caring for people.
  • Personal integrity and the ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and other personnel.
  • Ability to be discrete and protect the integrity of confidential information and stay within Corporate Compliance and HIPAA.
  • Knowledge on the use of personal computers, Word and Excel, and working with office machines such as fax and copying machines.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in classroom instruction and clinical experience as part of the CNA training program.
  • Gain clinical patient experience.
  • Complete 120-hour state-approved training.
  • Work towards placement in full-time or part-time positions after successful completion of the program.
