About The Position

Seven Hills Pediatric Center, an Affiliate of Seven Hills Foundation is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant - Teacher Assistant to work alongside their team in providing essential skills training and support to students with severe disabilities. This role involves implementing skills training programs for students, focusing on daily living skills, eating skills, mobility, leisure activities, and more. It is a rewarding opportunity to make a difference by helping students develop independence and reach their potential.

Requirements

• High school graduate/GED required.
• Must be Certified as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) or willing to obtain certification within three months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Implement programs that support daily living activities, individual eating skills, and mobility.
• Facilitate age-appropriate activities that promote learning and social development.
• Assist with planning and participating in field trips and community experience programs.
• Maintain detailed records and documentation on students’ progress, ensuring accurate and thorough tracking of activities and goals.
• Work with an interdisciplinary team to plan activities, address student needs, and participate in department and unit meetings.
• Support students through behavioral programming and communication interventions, including assistive technology and computer-based solutions.
• Participate in the daily care and mobility programs of students, including lifting and transferring students as needed.
