The Clinical Associate assists with patient bathing, feeding, and preparation for treatment, takes and records vital signs, changes bed linen, prepares treatment trays and other supplies, and assists nursing service personnel with a variety of other patient care duties that they have verified competencies in. Relies on establish guidelines to accomplish tasks. Works under close supervision of the nurse.

Requirements

Completion of CNA program, Medical Assistant Program, PCA or similar program
BLS certification
Basic EKG skills
Education- high school or equivalent

Responsibilities

Performs various patient care activities and related nonprofessional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients.
Assists with patient bathing, feeding, and preparation for treatment.
Takes and records vital signs.
Changes bed linen.
Prepares treatment trays and other supplies.
