About The Position

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center (LWRMC), located in the heart of the Lakewood Ranch community, has served the people of Lakewood Ranch and surrounding areas since 2004. It is an award-winning, high-quality, acute-care hospital accredited by The Joint Commission and consistently ranks high in terms of quality, safety and patient satisfaction. The medical staff includes more than 750 physicians and allied health professionals who practice in a wide range of specialties. LWRMC has expanded its offerings to the people of Manatee and Sarasota counties by growing services and updating technologies to better serve the surrounding communities. Services include emergency services and freestanding emergency department, general and robotic surgery, maternity care, breast health, cardiology, orthopedic surgery, stroke, sleep medicine, urology and wound care. The Certified Nursing Assistant Ortho assumes responsibility for facilitating and enhancing the delivery of patient care and the patient experience under the direction of the RN. Duties include patient care, activities of daily living, and general support duties as assigned to include but not limited to: clerical, stocking, courier, and transport. The role requires demonstrating Service Excellence at all times.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS at start date
  • CNA Certification required
  • Demonstrated track record for excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Customer service skills
  • For Emergency Room, CPI required within 6 months

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as Unit Secretary/ Nursing Assistant, Medic or EMT/Paramedic

Responsibilities
