About The Position
Under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, assists the nursing staff in performing routine nursing care duties, and to provide assistance in the care of patients and their environments. This FULL-TIME posting is for Various Medical Surgical Departments - including those below, subject to - Current and future openings 1800 W. Charleston Blvd. 89102: - 2 SO MS - 6094 - 4 NO - 6084 - 2 W MS - 6092 - 4 SO - 6086 - CDU/TCU - 6231 - 5 NO - 6090 - 1400 MS - 6088 - 5 SO - 6180 - ORTHO/IJU - 6083
Requirements
- Equivalent to graduation from high school.
- Six (6) months of clinical experience.
- Valid Certification by the State of Nevada Board of Nursing as a Nursing Assistant.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification accepted by the American Heart Association (AHA).
- 1+ years(s) Recent Documented experience in an Acute Care Hospital Setting.
- 1+ years(s) Recent Documented in a Med/Surg Unit.
- Documented experience with vent patients.
Responsibilities
- Assists the nursing staff in performing routine nursing care duties.
- Provides assistance in the care of patients and their environments.
- Performing and documenting vital signs.
- Measuring and recording input and output.
- Providing and assisting with activities of daily living.
