About The Position

This role involves providing direct patient care in a Med/Surg unit, assisting with daily living activities, monitoring patient stability, and supporting the nursing staff. The Certified Nursing Assistant will work closely with the team to ensure patient comfort and safety, adhering to organizational standards and policies.

Requirements

• Active Kentucky Certified Nursing Assistant Licensure
• BLS Certification

Responsibilities

• Provides for activities of daily living by assisting with serving meals, feeding patients as necessary and ambulating, turning, and positioning patients; and providing fresh water and nourishment between meals.
• Assists nursing staff to identify physical, psychosocial, age-specific, and cultural considerations of each patient.
• Works with the nursing staff to provide personal care according to organizational standards and policies.
• Maintains patient stability by checking vital signs and weight; testing urine and recording intake and output information.
• Provides patient comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting patients; answering patients’ call lights and requests; and reporting observations of the patient to nursing supervisor.
• Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
