Certified Nursing Assistant/ Co-op (CNA) - 5 Medical - 0.4 FTE - 8hr PMs
About The Position
We are seeking compassionate and professional nursing assistants to join the medical unit of choice in Southeastern Wisconsin. Consisting of 53 beds, the employees of 5MEDICAL serve a diverse population of patients such as those with respiratory diseases, infectious processes, complications of chronic conditions, gastrointestinal disorders, renal failure, diabetes, alcohol/opiate withdrawal and patients that require medical evaluation before transitioning to other care environments. Our patient management may include telemetry monitoring, continuous medication infusions, wounds, ventilators, tracheostomies, varieties of tubes and drains. 5MEDICAL is focused on the needs of the patient and helping one another to meet those needs. Requirements
- Enrollment in high school or high school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Nursing Assistant in the State of Wisconsin (Active or expired and on the registry)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Associate (AHA); or ability to obtain upon hire
Responsibilities
- Assist the nursing team with a variety of patient care activities related to services necessary in caring for the personal needs, comfort, and safety of the patients.
- Assist with administrative type tasks for the nursing team.
- Assist with patient’s personal hygiene and dressing changes as needed.
- Support the nursing staff as needed throughout the shift both clinically and administrative.
