About The Position

Valley Senior Living is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. We offer recently increased compensation rates, with a starting hourly wage ranging from $23.00 to $30.71. We have full-time and part-time positions available across day, PM, and night shifts, with generous shift differentials. Requirements

Able to perform basic mathematical equations.
Certified within the state of ND as a Certified Nursing Assistant or must have completed a ND state approved training course and be certified as a CNA in North Dakota within 120 days of date of hire.

Responsibilities

Encourage and support residents in making personal choices, to accommodate individual needs and encourage independence.
Encourage residents to function at the highest practicable level.
Understand and follow basic concepts of infection control.
Maintain safety standards as established by Valley Senior Living, including use of safe operating procedures.
Assist residents as needed in all phases of activities of daily living.
Communicate effectively with residents.
Understand cognitive (mental) loss and assist residents to function at the highest possible level.
Understand and follow federal and state Residents Rights including providing privacy, confidentiality, and promoting dignity.
Interact effectively with residents, visitors, and all members of the health care team.
Respond to call lights in a prompt and courteous manner.
Adapt the physical environment in response to residents’ individual needs (light, air, temperature, noise, etc.).
