Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
About The Position
Moments Hospice is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support patient comfort and dignity. The CNA provides personal care and daily-living assistance, reviews care plans, and assists patients with mobility, exercise, positioning, and nutrition. The role works under the direction of a Case Manager RN and maintains electronic medical records. The position is on the road, with a company vehicle option that includes fuel and insurance coverage and may be used for business and personal purposes at minimal cost. A company cell phone, training, on-call support, clear expectations, and reasonable caseloads are also described.
Requirements
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- 12 months of caregiving experience in Home Care, Assisted Living/Memory Care, Skilled Nursing/Nursing Home, Hospital, or Hospice.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication and active listening skills.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Time management skills.
- Ability to work in an electronic medical record system.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Good understanding of body mechanics.
- Strong understanding of professional boundaries.
- Valid driver's license.
- Valid auto insurance.
Nice To Haves
- Current CPR certification.
Responsibilities
- Perform personal care activities related to daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and skin care.
- Review patient care plans.
- Assist with lifting and transferring patients.
- Assist with range of motion, positioning, exercise, and ambulation.
- Assist with dining and nutrition.
- Maintain electronic medical records.
- Work under the direction of a Case Manager RN.
