About The Position
Eventide Heartland Care Center is hiring full-time Certified Nursing Assistants for evening or overnight shifts, with every-other-weekend and holiday rotation. The CNA supports residents’ physical, mental, spiritual, psychological, and social needs by following established nursing care procedures under the supervision, guidance, and instruction of the supervisor in charge. The role provides individualized care that helps residents maintain or attain the highest practical level of physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being, while preserving their comfort, privacy, and dignity. The position pays $22–$24.64 per hour depending on qualifications, experience, and location. A $2-per-hour evening/overnight shift differential and a $2-per-hour weekend differential are available. Requirements
- Current North Dakota Certified Nursing Assistant license.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized attention that supports each resident’s highest practical physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
- Carry and follow assigned resident care plans at all times.
- Assist residents with grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinence care, toileting, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, and other needs indicated in their care plans.
- Maintain residents’ comfort, privacy, and dignity, and interact with them warmly and compassionately.
- Follow safety policies and procedures for residents, others, property, and oneself.
- Comply with rules and regulations established by the North Dakota Department of Health and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
- Understand residents’ rights, including freedom from restraints, abuse, and neglect, and promptly report incidents or evidence of abuse, neglect, or rights violations according to policy.
- Help maintain a safe, neat, and clean environment.
- Promptly answer residents’ call lights and alarms.
- Perform tasks such as checking vital signs and weights and applying lotions.
- Lift, move, and transport residents using the methods specified in their care plans, including gait belts, one-person or two-person transfers, Hoyer lifts, and standing lifts.
- Assist and escort residents to appointments and activities as needed.
- Document and record care provided and other pertinent information.
- Follow safety and infection-control procedures, including handwashing, glove use, and disposal of soiled materials.
- Assist with residents’ personal laundry as needed.
