About The Position

Dignity Health Rehabilitation Hospital, in partnership with Select Medical, is hiring a per-diem Certified Nursing Assistant for its inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Henderson, Nevada. The role is on the day shift and requires weekend availability. Compensation is $22.00 per hour.

The hospital provides care for people facing medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges related to brain and spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputations, and multiple traumas. The position includes an extensive orientation program and potential advancement to full-time opportunities. Per-diem employees may qualify for 401(k) participation after reaching 1,000 hours within their first anniversary or a subsequent calendar year. Requirements

• Hold an active CNA license in the state.
• Have certified BLS or complete BLS within the first 90 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight, and demographic data.
• Assist patients with personal and daily care, including bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, and hair care.
• Deliver meals and snacks; feed patients who cannot feed themselves; and document oral intake, including supplements.
• Safely turn and position immobile patients while maintaining proper body alignment, and participate in the mobility program.
• Answer patient call lights and perform services that support patients’ physical well-being.
• Transport patients to designated areas, including to and from treatment centers.
