About The Position

Dignity Health Rehabilitation Hospital, in partnership with Select Medical, is seeking a per-diem Certified Nursing Assistant for its inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Henderson, Nevada. The hospital provides compassionate care to people facing medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges related to brain and spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. This is a day-shift role with weekend hours needed, paying $22.00 per hour. The hospital offers an extensive orientation program and notes that demonstrated skills and dedication could lead to potential full-time opportunities. Part-time and per-diem employees may qualify for a 401(k) after reaching 1,000 hours within their first anniversary or a subsequent calendar year.

Requirements

• Active CNA license in the state.
• Certified BLS, or completion of BLS within the first 90 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight, and demographic data.
• Assist patients with personal and daily care, including bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, and hair care.
• Deliver meals and snacks, feed patients who cannot feed themselves, and document oral intake, including supplements.
• Safely turn and position immobile patients while maintaining proper body alignment, and participate in the mobility program.
• Answer patient call lights and perform services that support patients’ physical well-being.
• Transport patients to designated areas, including treatment centers.
