Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
About The Position
The Parker Jewish Institute, located in New Hyde Park, New York, is seeking qualified Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our Nursing team in our skilled nursing facility. CNAs at Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation are responsible for performing personal care and assistance for our residents and patients. As a key member of Parker's care team, you will also report changes in the resident's condition, assist with admission and discharge of patients, and under the guidance of a licensed nurse, provide quality and compassionate care to the residents and patients of Parker. Requirements
- Current and valid NYS CNA certification
- High School Diploma or GED
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work weekends and holidays
- Must be friendly and sociable and able to provide comfort to patients with good interpersonal skills - both verbal and in writing
- Team player - embracing a high level of care, compassion and teamwork
Nice To Haves
- Recent, relevant experience working with the geriatric population a plus; will hire newly certified CNAs
Responsibilities
- Performing personal care and assistance for residents and patients.
