The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs tasks essential to the direct care of the resident according to facility policy and procedures. This role involves allowing resident choices within limits, ensuring hygiene, appearance, safety, and nutritional needs are met, and providing care to maintain or improve resident functional status. Accurate documentation in EMR of resident's ADL care, personal hygiene, bowel and bladder habits, and behaviors is required. Adherence to universal precautions, proper infection control, sanitation, and safety standards is essential.
