About The Position

Visiting Angels’ Bettendorf office is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants to provide compassionate in-home care to senior adults and others in need throughout the Quad Cities area, including Eldridge, Pleasant Valley, Davenport, Walcott, Petersburg, and Blue Grass. The role offers an opportunity to support clients and their families through companionship and practical assistance, while developing caregiving skills. Advanced training in areas such as dementia care and Alzheimer’s care is available. Caregivers assist with a range of needs, including personal care, mobility, meal preparation, light housekeeping, shopping, and transportation to appointments. The posting offers full-time and part-time options, as well as 8-hour and 12-hour shifts, PRN work, and short shifts. Pay is $14.00–$16.00 per hour.

Requirements

Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.

Physical endurance.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

Help clients take prescribed medication.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and outside, including doctor’s appointments and walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients with routine exercises.
Plan and prepare meals with clients’ assistance when they are able.
Shop for clients or accompany them while shopping.
Perform light housekeeping tasks clients cannot complete on their own.
Provide pleasant and supportive companionship.
Report unusual incidents.
Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
Provide transportation, including to appointments.
