About The Position

Preferred Care at Home of Greater Huntsville is actively hiring dependable CNAs and experienced caregivers for immediate assignments. We offer consistent hours, flexible scheduling, and a supportive team environment. This role involves assisting clients with personal care, mobility, safety, and daily living activities, while also providing companionship and monitoring their well-being. We are looking for individuals with a strong commitment to client care and safety.

Requirements

• 2 years of caregiving experience OR CNA Certification
• Must have valid driver’s license & reliable transportation
• Must pass background screening
• High school diploma/GED

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care (bathing, grooming, toileting and incontinence care)
• Provide mobility support and transfers
• Use assistive devices (gait belt, walker, wheelchair, Hoyer lift)
• Assist in fall prevention and general safety awareness
• Help reposition bedbound clients to prevent discomfort
• Offer companionship and daily living assistance
• Follow care plans and ensure client safety
• Light housekeeping
• Meal preparation
• Engage clients in hobbies, games, or activities
• Monitor for changes in mood or behavior
• Provide conversation and social interaction
• Provide reminders to take medications as scheduled
