The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - SICU position is a Full Time role requiring 36 hours per week, with a schedule of Days, 7A-7P. The pay range is $20.80 - $31.20. This role involves assisting Registered Nurses (RNs) with daily patient care, including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activity orders, and ambulation. Responsibilities also include measuring and documenting vital signs and patient data, accurately documenting in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), and participating in patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes. The CNA will ensure patient call lights are within reach and answered promptly, perform purposeful rounding, and communicate observations to the RN. Additionally, the role involves patient positioning and transporting, assisting with nutritional needs, maintaining skin integrity, collecting specimens, and performing point-of-care testing. The CNA will also practice infection prevention, coordinate tests and treatments, maintain knowledge of diagnostic and treatment departments, and utilize computer systems for supply and equipment ordering. Communication facilitation, monitoring office equipment, and compiling chart forms are also key duties. The position requires the ability to provide age-appropriate care and demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles.
