About The Position

Tampa General Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support patients throughout rehabilitation and recovery. The role provides direct patient assistance and compassionate support while working with nurses and the interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care. The hospital is an 80-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation facility focused on helping patients regain independence after serious injuries, illnesses, and complex medical conditions. This is a full-time day-shift position with 12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The schedule is three 12-hour shifts per week, with a rotating every-other-weekend requirement.

Requirements

Completion of a Nursing Assistant training program.
Current State CNA certification.
Current CPR/BCLS certification, or ability to obtain it upon hire.

Nice To Haves

At least six months of experience in an acute care, rehabilitation, or long-term care setting.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, feeding, and mobility.
Provide compassionate patient care and emotional support.
Obtain and record vital signs and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff.
Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
Answer call lights and respond promptly to patient needs.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
Support nurses and the interdisciplinary team in delivering patient care.
Perform other duties as assigned.
