About The Position

Under the direction/supervision of RN, provides basic and intermediate nursing care for assigned group of patients based on competence. This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus. The Surgical Services unit provides care to patients from neonate to geriatric.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Aide, Medical Assistant or intermediate or higher level Emergency Medical Technician program.
• 2 years of clinical experience (Inpatient, Emergency Department, or Skilled Nursing Unit).
• Current Emergency Medical Technician, Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Phlebotomist, EKG Tech certification required.
• BLS –Obtained through approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network.
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention obtained within 60 days of hire or transfer to position.

Nice To Haves

• Satisfactory completed a nurse aide course, EMT, Paramedic, Medical Assisting

Responsibilities

• Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.
• Other related duties as assigned.
