About The Position

Bingham Healthcare is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our growing Observation Unit team. The Observation Unit provides care for patients requiring short-term monitoring, evaluation, and treatment. As a CNA, you will play an essential role in helping patients feel comfortable, safe, and supported while working alongside nurses, providers, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team. Bingham Healthcare is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital serving Southeast Idaho, offering inpatient care, a Level IV Trauma Emergency Department, on-site laboratory and imaging services, and Rural Health Clinics. Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
Current Idaho Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) License required
Ability to safely assist with lifting, transferring, and positioning patients
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

Previous CNA or healthcare experience preferred
Current BLS certification preferred
Basic medical terminology knowledge preferred
Basic computer skills preferred

Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility
Monitor and document vital signs, intake and output, and patient observations
Assist with ambulation, repositioning, transfers, and patient safety measures
Respond promptly to patient requests and call lights
Provide compassionate emotional support to patients and families
Assist nurses with patient care procedures and daily workflow
Prepare patient rooms and maintain a clean, organized care environment
Stock supplies and ensure equipment is readily available
Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
Perform clerical and receptionist duties for the Observation Unit (when assigned as Unit Clerk)
Facilitate communication between nursing staff, providers, ancillary departments, and patients (when assigned as Unit Clerk)
Enter and process computerized patient information accurately (when assigned as Unit Clerk)
Answer phones and assist visitors in a professional and courteous manner (when assigned as Unit Clerk)
Help maintain efficient patient flow throughout the unit (when assigned as Unit Clerk)
