Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Current Idaho Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) License required
  • Current BLS certification preferred
  • Basic medical terminology knowledge preferred
  • Basic computer skills preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to safely assist with lifting, transferring, and positioning patients

Nice To Haves

  • Previous CNA or healthcare experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility
  • Monitor and document vital signs, intake and output, and patient observations
  • Assist with ambulation, repositioning, transfers, and patient safety measures
  • Respond promptly to patient requests and call lights
  • Provide compassionate emotional support to patients and families
  • Assist nurses with patient care procedures and daily workflow
  • Prepare patient rooms and maintain a clean, organized care environment
  • Stock supplies and ensure equipment is readily available
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
  • Perform clerical and receptionist duties for the Observation Unit
  • Facilitate communication between nursing staff, providers, ancillary departments, and patients
  • Enter and process computerized patient information accurately
  • Answer phones and assist visitors in a professional and courteous manner
  • Help maintain efficient patient flow throughout the unit
