As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)/ LEAD CNA, you will put resident service first and ensure that residents and their families receive the highest quality care. Under the direction of a licensed nurse, you will deliver efficient and effective nursing care essential to caring for the personal needs and comfort of residents.

Requirements

Successful completion of a state-approved certified nursing assistant program
Current CNA certification
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic knowledge of computer use or willingness to learn
Strong communication and leadership skills

Nice To Haves

Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) environment
Nursing Assistant experience providing direct care to multiple residents
Behavioral care / memory care experience

Responsibilities

Assisting residents with or performing Activities of Daily Living (ADL).
Assisting residents with ambulation and transfers.
Assisting licensed nurse with treatments and procedures as needed.
Maintaining the confidentiality of all resident care information.
Promoting a culture of safety to ensure a healthy practice and living environment.
A Lead CNA may assign tasks to other CNAs at the start of a shift, help manage workflow, and ensure coverage across the unit.
They often act as the “go-to” person when CNAs have questions or need support.
Lead CNAs frequently help onboard and train new CNAs, demonstrating proper procedures and ensuring care standards are followed.
They help ensure that care is delivered according to facility policies and state regulations, including proper documentation, infection control, and patient safety practices.
