Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)/ Certified Medication Aide (CMA)
About The Position
Wheat State Manor is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and caring Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building meaningful relationships with residents and takes pride in providing quality care. As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will assist residents with activities of daily living, personal care, mobility, meals, and other needs while helping promote their comfort, dignity, and independence. As a Certified Medication Aide (CMA), you will also be responsible for safely administering medications according to physician orders and facility policies.
Requirements
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the State of Kansas.
- Current Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification in the State of Kansas, or ability to meet facility requirements.
- Dependable, compassionate, and team-oriented.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent resident care.
Nice To Haves
- Previous long-term care or senior living experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, respectful, and person-centered care to residents.
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, mobility, and other activities of daily living.
- Monitor and report changes in residents' condition or needs to the appropriate nursing staff.
- As a CNA, provide hands-on care while promoting resident safety, dignity, and independence.
- As a CMA, administer medications accurately and safely according to established procedures.
- Complete accurate documentation and communicate effectively with the nursing team.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents.
- Develop positive relationships with residents, families, and coworkers.
- Follow all facility policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
