This position is responsible for caring for the residents under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), LPN/LVN, or Director of Health & Wellness. The role involves taking and recording vital signs, measuring and recording height, weight, and fluid intake/output, and recognizing abnormal changes in body functioning. The CNA will assist residents with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living. Responsibilities also include transferring, positioning, and turning residents, providing skin care, contributing to resident assessments and care plans, and providing nursing rehabilitation/restorative nursing services. The CNA will follow the schedule of resident's needs, provide emotional and social support, and promote and protect resident rights, including informed decision-making, dignity, respect, and confidentiality. They will also report suspected abuse or neglect, avoid physical restraints, and support independent expression and choice. Informing supervisors of any resident issues or concerns is crucial.
