About The Position

This full-time CNA position is with LIFE Butler County for the Wellness Home. Lutheran SeniorLife provides a comprehensive array of community-based health and social service programs throughout western Pennsylvania. Our services include LIFE (Living Independence for the Elderly); skilled nursing, home health; personal care; adoption & foster care; assisted living; adult day services; memory care; hospice; palliative care; residential living; affordable housing; home safety monitoring; Meals on Wheels; rehabilitation services and private duty. The LIFE program serves county residents living in Armstrong, Butler, Beaver and Lawrence Counties. It is an all-inclusive comprehensive program that helps individuals maintain their independence in their home and community through supportive services. The LIFE programs offer an array of person-centered services from medical care to adult day supports with the primary goal of allowing individuals to remain in their own home. The Certified Nursing Assistant C.N.A. performs basic duties to assist participants in maintaining an environment consistent with their needs. Assists participants in their mobility exercises to help them be more independent for their activities and maintain their current level of functioning. Provides care, across care settings (center or home) in a manner that ensures participant satisfaction and retention. Assists participant in such activities as walking, transfers, use of mobility devises, getting to and from restroom, toileting, providing incontinence care, feeding, showering, getting in and out of transportation vehicles, and socialization at the center. Knowledge and support of the mission and core values of the LIFE Program are important to successful performance, as are commitment to and demonstration of a spirit of teamwork.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Current Pennsylvania State Nurse Aide Certification; Must be listed on state nurse aide registry and without allegations.
  • At least (1) year experience with the frail or elderly.
  • Must have dependable transportation with a valid driver's license.
