About The Position

This casual C.N.A. position is with LIFE Lawrence County. Lutheran SeniorLife provides a comprehensive array of community-based health and social service programs throughout western Pennsylvania. The LIFE program serves county residents in Armstrong, Butler, Beaver, and Lawrence Counties, offering an all-inclusive program to help individuals maintain independence in their homes and communities through supportive services. The LIFE programs offer person-centered services from medical care to adult day supports with the primary goal of allowing individuals to remain in their own homes. The Certified Nursing Assistant C.N.A. - Home Care performs basic duties to assist participants in maintaining an environment consistent with their needs. Assists participants in their mobility exercises to help them be more independent for their activities and maintain their current level of functioning. Provides care, across care settings (center or home) in a manner that ensures participant satisfaction and retention. Assists participant in such activities as walking, transfers, use of mobility devises, getting to and from restroom, toileting, providing incontinence care, feeding, showering, getting in and out of transportation vehicles, and socialization at the center. Knowledge and support of the mission and core values of the LIFE Program are important to successful performance, as are commitment to and demonstration of a spirit of teamwork.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Current Pennsylvania State Nurse Aide Certification; Must be listed on state nurse aide registry and without allegations.
  • At least (1) year experience with the frail or elderly.
  • Must have dependable transportation with a valid driver's license.
