About The Position

Vanderbilt University Medical Center is seeking talented faculty or staff certified nurse midwives (CNMs) to join the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology on the General OB/Gyn team in Nashville, Tennessee, and the surrounding region. Multiple positions are available, including a Certified Nurse-Midwife, Hospitalist for Vanderbilt University Hospital with high-risk experience needed, and a Certified Nurse-Midwife Service Director/APP Assistant Director with full scope experience for Vanderbilt Clarksville Hospital in Clarksville/Pleasant View. The OB/Gyn Department is a multi-disciplinary team of over 150 physicians, NPs, and CNMs dedicated to excellence in clinical and population women’s health care and training future providers. The department offers comprehensive care across multiple inpatient centers, ambulatory sites, a birthing center, and outreach practices. This role offers staff assignment or faculty appointment with opportunities to teach fellows, residents, and other learners, participate in research or QI projects, and enjoy an academically rich and collaborative community with strong leadership support. Relevant Work Experience
Master's degree

Responsibilities

Join the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology on the General OB/Gyn team.
Serve as a Certified Nurse-Midwife, Hospitalist at Vanderbilt University Hospital (high-risk experience needed).
Serve as a Certified Nurse-Midwife Service Director/APP Assistant Director with full scope experience at Vanderbilt Clarksville Hospital.
Participate in clinical or translational research and/or QI projects during protected academic time.
Teach fellows, residents, and other learners.
Provide comprehensive, state-of-the-art clinical care for a diverse patient population.
Execute job responsibilities with an understanding of how output impacts other areas.
