About The Position

Neighborhood Health Center is seeking a certified nurse midwife who is kind, innovative, collaborative, and open to unique perspectives. The role involves working within a team that is resilient and seeks fairness by listening to patients and providing individualized care. As a certified nurse midwife, you will collaborate with other healthcare providers and agencies to provide and coordinate services for individuals and families. Primary healthcare services include promotion and maintenance of health, prevention of illness and disability, basic care during acute and chronic illness phases, guidance and counseling, and referrals to other resources when appropriate. The position requires working out of multiple Neighborhood locations and affiliated local hospitals.

Requirements

• Must be a Registered Nurse who has graduated from an advanced education program accredited by the American College of Nurse-Midwives
• Must have passed a national certification examination which meets strict requirements set by the state health agencies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to read, write and speak the English language

Nice To Haves

• Licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in Women's Health preferred but not required
• A second language of Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversees and provides in-office and hospital-based direct OBGYN patient care
• Facilitates care coordination and clinical collaboration
• Ensures quality care and risk mitigation
