About The Position

Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group is seeking an experienced Certified Nurse Midwife for per diem coverage at Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women & Newborns. This role involves working 12-hour shifts, covering both day and night shifts. The hospital is Southern California’s only standalone women’s hospital and delivers more babies than any other hospital in California. The position offers full specialty back-up, including 24-hour perinatal and GYN/ONC services with dedicated OB anesthesia. Responsibilities include labor and delivery, triage, and postpartum care. On-call OBGYNs and OB hospitalists are always available, and an on-site overnight room is provided for the provider. The hospital has the highest volume in the state, delivering approximately 9,000 babies per year, and the group delivers around 4,000 babies annually. The position also benefits from an excellent labor and delivery nursing staff and Southern California’s largest level III NICU.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working full-time as a Certified Nurse Midwife in an inpatient setting
• Comfortable with both day and night shift coverage
• Must be comfortable with 12-hour shifts
