About The Position

University of Pittsburgh Physicians is hiring a Full-Time Certified Nurse Midwife to help support Magee Womens Hospital. This is a full scope CNM position including a mix of office/outpatient visits and call shifts covering days, nights, and weekends. The Midwives' office at Magee is a small, dedicated practice of 12 certified nurse midwives who care for a large and continually growing, diverse patient population. Our midwives provide a wide range of services, including prenatal care, gynecologic care, family planning, and annual wellness exams. Requirements

Must be eligible for licensure.
CPR certification required.
National certification, eligible for licensure by Pennsylvania board of nursing, eligible for certification as a CNM by Pennsylvania state board of nursing PR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.

Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.
