About The Position

Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Certified Nurse Assistant to join our team! Provides direct patient care consistent with the unit’s standards of care. Meets the communication needs of the patient/family, departmental staff and medical staff. Demonstrates basic computer knowledge. Prepares and compiles patient records. Initiates directions from physician and nursing staff. Participates in performance improvement activities and quality assurance activities. Maintains regulatory agency requirements, nursing and hospital policies, procedures and standards. Demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, philosophy, and goals of the unit and organization; remains flexible to changing systems; is expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habit; and treats staff, physicians, patients, and families with considerations and respect.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Current Nurse’s Aide Certification (CNA) required.
  • Current BLS certification and renewal as required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Has the ability to successfully and competently utilize computer software for operation of department.
  • Must have the ability to effectively read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts.
  • Able to multi-task and function at a high level with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.
  • Ability to listen and concentrate for long periods of time.
  • Able to work well with others.
  • The ability to work efficiently and effectively without close supervision.
  • Knowledge of office support functions, including word processing, filing, receptions, gathering and compiling data, and balancing and coordinating a workload involving multiple projects and clients.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Able to complete a variety of tasks.
  • Able to deal with difficult client situations and emergencies in a calm and professional manner.

  • CNA experience preferred.
