Certified Nurse Assistant
About The Position
Centurion is seeking a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join its Medical team at Lawrence Correctional Center in Sumner, Illinois. Centurion provides comprehensive services to the Illinois Department of Corrections. CNAs work under the close direction of nursing, medical, and psychiatric staff to provide direct patient care to incarcerated individuals, supporting personal hygiene and daily living needs and monitoring vital signs. The position is a full-time night shift role. The hourly salary is $22.77 or more, with a $4-per-hour evening differential and a $3-per-hour night differential.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CNA or other medical paraprofessional certification required.
- CNA licensure in Maryland required.
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/BLS.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, including a drug screen and criminal background check.
Nice To Haves
- Training, experience, or certification as a nurse’s aide, medical technician, or mental health worker.
- One year of experience in an acute care, long-term care, emergency, or correctional setting.
Responsibilities
