Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)- Restorative Aide
About The Position
This role is for a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) who wants to make a meaningful impact on patient recovery within the PACE (Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly) program. The Restorative Aide will play a key role in helping participants regain strength, mobility, and independence by guiding them through individualized restorative programs designed to improve function and quality of life. This position is ideal for individuals interested in rehabilitation, physical therapy, or advancing their clinical career. PACE is a federal and state-funded program providing comprehensive, coordinated, and proactive whole-person care to help seniors live safely in their homes.
Requirements
- Current Colorado CNA license maintained throughout employment
- One year’s experience with frail or elderly population is required
- Passion for participant-centered care and rehabilitation
- Valid Colorado driver’s license, unlimited access to reliable transportation, and adequate automobile insurance is maintained throughout employment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Current CPR Certification is maintained throughout employment
- Adequate computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Effectively work with and build relationships with others
- Effectively and respectfully communicate both verbally and in writing in a multitude of situations and settings, including highly emotional interactions
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in a rehab environment preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist participants with individualized restorative care plans under the direction of therapy (PT/OT) staff
- Work in a variety of settings including the day center, therapy gym, and participants' homes
- Support walking, mobility, range-of-motion, and strengthening programs
- Encourage participant participation, independence, and progress toward goals
- Accurately document participant performance and progress
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and dignity at all times
- Have weekends off with a Monday-Friday, 8:00a-5:00p schedule
