This role involves providing basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff. Duties may include taking vital signs, assisting with bathing and dressing, moving patients, changing linens, and other assigned tasks. The position also requires obtaining information on patient condition and reporting any changes to the nursing staff. Trainees will participate in a classroom and clinical learning environment to gain skills as unlicensed assistive personnel, working under the supervision of a clinical educator and nursing staff. A competency assessment will be administered at the end of the training program.
