Glenmont Job Corps Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Instructor to join their Education & Training Team. This role involves using real-world nursing experience to teach young adults the skills, professionalism, and confidence needed to become Certified Nursing Assistants and begin careers in healthcare. The position combines aspects of a nurse educator, hands-on skills trainer, mentor, and career coach. The instructor will provide classroom instruction, demonstrations, clinical skills training, coaching, and career preparation to help students successfully complete their training and obtain industry-recognized credentials. The role emphasizes turning textbook knowledge into practical skills and teaching the importance of compassionate patient care. The instructor will also guide students in developing professional behaviors such as punctuality, appropriate attire, communication, and dependability. The day-to-day activities may include demonstrating clinical skills, coaching students during practice, teaching healthcare concepts, monitoring student progress, maintaining training documentation, and preparing students for certification and employment. The ideal candidate will have previous teaching experience or experience training CNAs, new nurses, students, or new employees, and possess a passion for mentoring young adults and a strong belief in safe and compassionate patient care.
