Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)
About The Position
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Care provides compassionate, high-quality personal care and supportive services to participants in their homes. Working under the direction of a licensed nurse and the assigned plan-of-care, the CNA assists participants with activities of daily living, promotes comfort and safety, observes and reports changes in condition, and supports participants in maintaining independence and dignity. PACE or Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly is a federal and state funded program that provides comprehensive, coordinated, and proactive whole-person care to help maintain and improve seniors' health so they can live safely in their homes. The number of people aged 55+ is increasing in Grand Junction, CO and the demand for eldercare professionals is on the rise.
Requirements
- Current and valid Colorado Certified Nurse Assistants license, maintained throughout employment.
- CPR Certification maintained throughout employment
- Experience working with older adults required.
- Knowledge of basic nursing assistant practices and patient care techniques.
- Ability to recognize and report changes in patient condition.
- Demonstrated compassion, empathy, and respect for diverse populations
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Nice To Haves
- 6 months prior CNA experience.
- Experience working with clients who have some cognitive impairment preferred.
- Experience in home health, long-term care, or other healthcare setting preferred.
