CERTIFIED NURSE ASSISTANT CNA

Requirements
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license.
- Reliable transportation.
- Safe driving record and ability to transport individuals when required.
- Ability to complete all required training, certifications, and employment screenings.
Nice To Haves
- Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral health needs, or related populations.
- Experience providing personal care and medication administration.
- Knowledge of Individual Support Plans (ISPs) and person-centered services.
- CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain certification within required timeframes.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and prescribed treatments in accordance with physician orders and agency policies.
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, oral hygiene, and meal assistance.
- Support mobility needs through lifting, transferring, repositioning, and ambulation assistance.
- Implement approved behavioral support strategies and crisis intervention techniques when needed.
- Accompany individuals to medical appointments, community activities, recreational outings, and social events.
- Support the implementation of Individual Support Plans (ISPs) and individualized care plans.
- Monitor health, safety, and environmental concerns and promptly report issues.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for individuals served.
- Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the Registered Nurse (RN), Program Director, families, and interdisciplinary team to ensure quality care and services.
