About The Position
Desert View Care Center is a skilled nursing facility in Buhl, ID, expanding its nursing team. They offer a supportive environment and opportunities for growth as a CNA. They are hiring for the Day Shift, from 6 AM to 2 PM. They also offer on-the-job training for those not yet certified and assistance in obtaining certification. Additionally, CNAs can participate in a Nursing Tuition Reimbursement program, receiving $500/month towards a nursing program.
Requirements
- Current CNA certification or willingness to become certified within 120 days of employment
- Effective communication with coworkers and residents
- Willingness to learn local, state, and federal laws/regulations in regards to long-term care
Responsibilities
- Answer residents' call lights to determine needs
- Turn and reposition residents while they are in bed
- Provide physical support to assist residents in performing daily living activities such as getting in/out of bed, bathing, eating, dressing, using the bathroom, standing, walking, or exercising
- Review dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences to ensure residents receive appropriate diet
- Record food and liquid intake and output as necessary
- Reporting changes in resident condition to nursing staff
- Develop relationships with residents to ensure their stay is comfortable
