About The Position
The Certified Nurse Aide will provide assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident assessments and care plans. This role involves assisting residents with customary daily requirements and tasks such as bathing, feeding, dressing, observing food intake, hair and nail care, moving residents, and responding to calls. The CNA is also responsible for carrying out duties according to resident care policy and procedure, measuring and recording vital signs, detecting and reporting situations that may cause accidents or injuries, contributing to resident care plans, and observing and reporting changes in residents' conditions to the Charge Nurse.
Requirements
- Must hold valid Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) license
- Must be at least 16 years of age
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Experience in a long-term care facility is preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident assessments and care plans
- Assist resident in customary daily requirements and tasks in care and treatment such as bathing, feeding, dressing, observing intake of food, care of hair, nails, moving residents from area to area, responding to calls
- Carry out duties and responsibilities in accordance with resident care policy and procedure
- Measure and record vital signs as assigned by Charge Nurse
- Detect and report situations that may cause resident accidents or injuries
- Contributes knowledge of resident’s conditions/needs to resident care plans
- Observe and report symptoms, reactions, and changes of conditions to residents to Charge Nurse
