Requirements

  • Current Virginia Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
  • Current Virginia Registered Medication Aide (RMA) certification required.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and resident care skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in assisted living, memory care, or long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administer medications as prescribed and document accurately in the MAR.
  • Observe and report changes in resident condition, medication effectiveness, adverse reactions, or refusals.
  • Monitor vital signs and other health indicators as required for medication administration.
  • Maintain medication carts and storage areas in compliance with facility policies and state regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with nursing staff, residents, families, and pharmacy providers.
  • Assist with medication inventory, counts, and refill coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with all medication safety, infection control, and resident care standards.
