Certified Nurse Anesthetist - CRNA

University of VirginiaCharlottesville, VA
$101 - $125Onsite

About The Position

UVA Health is expanding its Perioperative Services and is seeking Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to support extended-hour operating room coverage, Saturday elective programs, and sustained OR growth across multiple surgical sites. This expansion is a core component of UVA Health’s bridge strategy through 2027, enabling increased surgical access while transitioning from incentive-based anesthesia coverage to a stable, employed CRNA workforce. CRNAs at UVA Health practice within a collaborative Anesthesia Care Team model at a nationally recognized academic medical center and Level I Trauma Center, with a high-autonomy practice environment that allows CRNAs to work at the top of their license. CRNAs provide anesthesia care across a diverse and complex case mix, including Main Operating Room (high-acuity, Level I Trauma), Outpatient and ambulatory surgery centers (OCIR, SCR), Endoscopy and procedural suites, and Off-site and non-OR anesthesia (NORA) locations. UVA Health offers full-time employed CRNA roles, weekend-focused opportunities, and wage/PRN opportunities. The role emphasizes schedule flexibility, mentorship for new graduates, leadership and quality improvement pathways, and AANA-approved CEU credits. Charlottesville offers a blend of career opportunity and lifestyle, nestled near the Blue Ridge Mountains and Shenandoah National Park.
