About The Position

VitalCore Health Strategies is hiring full-time Certified Nurse Aides at Baylor Women's Correctional Institution in New Castle, Delaware. The Certified Nurse Aide assists physicians and nurses in meeting patients’ healthcare needs. The position is subject to initial and ongoing security clearance requirements.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Certification by a professional organization in the state; certificates of completion or diplomas are not accepted.
• Subject to initial and ongoing security clearance requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, height, and weight.
• Assist with PPDs and EKGs.
• Draw blood.
• Measure and record patient intake and output.
• Assist with patient treatments, including dressing changes, decubitus ulcer care, and tracheostomy care.
• Follow Universal Precaution and established infection-control procedures.
• Schedule appointments.
• Follow safety and security policies and participate in disaster drills.
• Maintain CPR proficiency, recognize when CPR is needed, and complete annual recertification training.
• Assist with cleaning, sterilizing, and securing equipment.
• Follow security regulations for keys, sharps, and controlled medications.
