About The Position
We are hiring dedicated, compassionate CNAs, Nurse Aides, and Caregivers to provide resident-focused, quality care for elder Franciscan sisters at our Buffalo convent home located on Doat Street/ Pine Ridge (near Cheektowaga). This is a full-time CNA / Nurse Aide position in a convent home environment working 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. Additional shifts available when needed. The hourly pay rate for this position is $16.50-$21.83. Wages/pay rate will be determined based on factors such as CNA certification, the candidate's relevant work experience/qualifications, and internal equity.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Current or lapsed Certified Nurse Aide certification on file with the state in which the health services are located is a PLUS but not required.
- Long-term resident care or home care experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provides compassionate, person-centered, direct care to elder Franciscan sisters, including assistance with personal hygiene, dressing, dining, transporting, and restorative care.
- Documents care for sisters as required.
- Communicates with residents, family members, management, and staff to ensure resident quality care.
- Assists and collaborates with the nursing staff with duties related to the ongoing needs of the residents according to established standards.
- Works together with employees in all departments to support the religious life of sisters by contributing to providing a warm and caring convent environment.
- Engages in quality interpersonal experiences with sisters and engages in meaningful interactions during the course of every day.
- Maintains partnerships among all departments to achieve sister satisfaction and a thriving living and working environment.
