About The Position

We are hiring dedicated, compassionate CNAs, Nurse Aides, and Caregivers to provide resident-focused, quality care for elder Franciscan sisters at our Buffalo convent home located on Doat Street/ Pine Ridge (near Cheektowaga). Willingness to work additional shifts as needed. This is a full-time CNA / Nurse Aide position in a convent home environment. The hourly pay rate for this position is $16.50-$21.83. Wages/pay rate will be determined based on factors such as CNA certification, the candidate's relevant work experience/qualifications, and internal equity. Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

  • Current or lapsed Certified Nurse Aide certification on file with the state in which the health services are located is a PLUS but not required.
  • Long-term resident care or home care experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provides compassionate, person-centered, direct care to elder Franciscan sisters, including assistance with personal hygiene, dressing, dining, transporting, and restorative care.
  • Documents care for sisters as required.
  • Communicates with residents, family members, management, and staff to ensure resident quality care.
  • Assists and collaborates with the nursing staff with duties related to the ongoing needs of the residents according to established standards.
  • Works together with employees in all departments to support the religious life of sisters by contributing to providing a warm and caring convent environment.
  • Engages in quality interpersonal experiences with sisters and engages in meaningful interactions during the course of every day.
  • Maintains partnerships among all departments to achieve sister satisfaction and a thriving living and working environment.
